Jonah Stabinski, LCSW
I was inspired to work with psychedelics through my experience in a treatment-resistant depression program. I worked with people who were doing everything they could—trying medications, engaging in therapy, and trying to make significant life changes—yet still felt profoundly stuck. I saw firsthand how altered states of consciousness, when approached intentionally and safely, could open the door to powerful insights and meaningful change. Through my work with psilocybin, I aim to help support these kinds of transformational processes.
My training and experience as a therapist inform my approach to psilocybin facilitation. I believe healing is most possible when people feel safe, supported, and deeply respected. Together, we work to create a container of trust and courage that allows your experience to unfold in the way it needs to. Afterwards, we work together to best understand how your psilocybin experience can inform you of the next steps in your life, leading to longer-lasting change.
I care deeply about psilocybin services being culturally responsive and accessible to people of all backgrounds. While evidence-based approaches inform my work, your worldview and lived experience ultimately shape our process. My practice is grounded in anti-racist principles, queer and trans liberation, and a deep respect for the diversity of human experience.
Research is also central to my work. As a co-founder of TripScience.org, I help disseminate evidence-based information to the broader clinical community. I have served in an ancillary role on an MDMA-assisted therapy trial for social anxiety and will soon be a study therapist on a psilocybin trial focused on chronic pelvic pain.
People come to this work from many places, sometimes with a clear sense of what they’re hoping for and sometimes just with the feeling that something needs to shift. My hope is to offer support that’s grounded, thoughtful, and responsive to who you are rather than pushing any particular outcome. In that spirit, my intention is to be alongside you with care and attention, wherever your process leads.
